PaperStack

PaperStack is an offline film journal: you keep a stack of the movies you mean to watch, then log each one with a rating, a mood and a short note. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.

PaperStack does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

Information we collect

None. PaperStack has no registration, no login, no analytics and no crash reporting, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Data stored on your device

To make the app work, PaperStack stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to PaperStack or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.

Permissions

No runtime permissions are requested — no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or notifications. The Android manifest declares INTERNET because the Flutter project template includes it; it is a normal permission that is never prompted for, and PaperStack does not use it.

Network use

PaperStack is fully offline. Its film reference list ships inside the app, so it never queries a catalogue service, and it contains no HTTP client or cloud database. Tapping “Share your ledger” passes a short summary line to the system share sheet; you decide whether and where to send it, and PaperStack never sees the destination.

Third-party services

None. There is no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or attribution SDK. The open-source packages it uses (sqflite, flutter_riverpod, fl_chart, flutter_animate, intl, share_plus and a few layout helpers) all run locally.

Children's privacy

PaperStack collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). The bundled reference list does name films with adult age ratings, although no film content is shown, so parents may want to judge the titles for themselves.

Your rights

Everything stays on your device. You can remove any film from the stack, send a logged film back to the stack (clearing its rating, mood and note), or change your name and settings at any time. Uninstalling PaperStack deletes its database permanently; there is no copy with us to access, export or erase.
